Welcome everyone

My name is David Bathe and after more than 30 years producing commercial art for the advertising and graphic design industry, I've finally decided to produce some for ME and of course, anyone out there that might find my artwork attractive enough or indeed worthy of their attention. This is time consuming stuff and like all struggling artists on a mission, I need the occasional word of praise to stoke the ego and fire up the engines, So, if you like what you see, remember to drop me a line. It's going to be a long trip but stay with me. And in the mean time, down load my card.

Giant Scale Artwork. Life Size WWII Instrument Panels and Aircraft Illustrated for you in Hyper Detail.

Like the real thing, but cheaper!

I am currently producing a series of illustrations featuring panels from WWII fighter aircraft. All produced life size and in hyper detail.  These will soon be made available as 100 x 70cm printed artwork for collectors and enthusiasts.

The first 6 will feature British aircraft and then judging the feedback I will then start work on both the American and German aeroplanes.

To complement the instrument panels, I am also producing matching aircraft profile illustrations which again will be available as 100x 70cm printed artwork. For those not used to metric measurements, that is a whopping 39 x 27.5 inches!

Hawker Hurricane Mk 1b. Ready for delivery.

Great news for all you people that have contacted me  and placed orders for the Hurricane poster... it's almost ready for the printer. I've been experimenting with different liveries and have chosen, well my arm was bent by several of you, to render the aircraft as Standford Tucks  classic.

Unfortunatly, this created more problems than it solved because of the black painted undersurfaces. I wanted to creat the weathered effect. It's taken some time, it's almost there an it's looking wicked. Just the undersurface of the wing and a few hundred details to complete and it's ready. Check out the rudder here.
